The word "Gospel" means "Good News".  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is full of good news.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important message in all of Scripture.  The Gospel is where we find Salvation, Forgiveness, Justification, Adoption and Eternal life with God.

To receive God's salvation:

• You must understand and believe in Jesus and what He did for you.  Jesus was born of a virgin both man and the Son of God.  He took all our sins upon himself and paid the penalty for your sins by dying on the cross. 
• You must believe in your hearts that Jesus defeated death and was raised from the grave and that through Him you, too, are able to defeat death.
• We are all sinners and deserving of the wrath of God. You must confess your sins, repent of your sins, turn away from your sins and ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins.
• You must confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord."  Ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior

Having Jesus Christ as your Lord makes you a disciple, a follower of Jesus Christ. God now lives with you, He calls your body his temple.  It means you have put to death the old person you were.  Your old self, and all your sins, died on the cross with Jesus. Now you are born again, new in Jesus Christ.  Jesus said, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me".  You will be entering into a battle.  If you don't belong to Jesus Christ, then you belong to Satan.  Satan hates Jesus because Satan was defeated by Jesus and everyone that accepts Jesus brings glory to God.  By accepting Jesus into your heart, you too have defeated Satan. Satan will try to stop you, but know this: If you are true in your heart and faith, Jesus dwells with you. No one and nothing can take you away from Jesus Christ once you have received Him.

Consider how many years you will be alive on this earth.  Perhaps seventy years plus or minus.  70 is only one-tenth of 700 years and only 1 percent of 7,000 years.  Now consider eternity - that's FOREVER.  God will use your relatively short time on Earth to mold you for eternity. You will still have trials and tribulations in your life.  God uses these things to build your character for His glory.  God will break a proud man.  He will bring you to your knees.  He will leave you with nothing and nowhere to turn except to Him and He will always be there, in the midst of the worst storm, He will never leave you.
